Vongo goes away

Chris Lanier noticed some online services disappearing from Media Center and now it looks like another one is going. Vongo is/was a online videos service that was compatible with Windows Media Center and extenders and according to EngadgetHD the service is shutting down. I don't know anybody that actually used Vongo but it's a shame to see another Media Center friendly service disappear

it looks like Starz has gone ahead and pulled the plug. If you're one of the, uh, dozens who were paying the $10/mo fee, you can still use the service until September 30th, but after that there'll be nothing left -- literally, since all your Vongo content will be deleted.

Vongo dies, very few notice

While I agree it's not good to see apps leave, I know I tried it at one point and it wasn't worth the $10 a month they wanted.  I was going to post about this tomorrow...not Vongo but download in general and how it needs to be fixed.

Hopefully we can get some good stuff to fill it in soon.  TVTonic seems to be doing well...just read today that they're up to over $2 million in revenue right now.  With them partnering with NBC, could we see network content besides Olympics and News soon?  I hope so because I think it'll only take one network signing up and we'll see mainstream TV content for IPTV style functionality inside media center.  Hulu for the 10ft interface if you will.
