Ricavision SideShow Remote avaible for pre-order, but when will it ship?

The Ricavision Sideshow remote seems to have coming for years now, I saw it at CES in 2007 and 2008. According to the Windows SideShow Team blog the unit is available for pre-order through Amazon.com. I love the idea of this remote but at $349 it's way to expensive.

Features:

  • 2.4 Inch QVGA LCD Display with 240X320 Resolution
  • Universal Control up to over 20 Devices as well as Windows Vista PC
  • IR Learning Feature with Easy Macro functions
  • MCE Green button supported/with 4 media center buttons
  • Built-in worldwide IR database with over 1500 brand names for easy device set-up

When I visited Ricavision at CES in January I was not allowed to take any video of the unit (you would think they would want me to show it off) but I did do a sneaky video.

Would you shell out $349 for a remote? let me know

I would also recommend reading Ed Bott's Ricavision shows how not to run a beta program post
